Giving thanks.
This has been a week. A week where at times, I felt as though there was not much to be thankful for.
My uncle passed away on Sunday. I am thamkful he is at peace, no longer struggling to breathe. I am thankful for such an amazing and strong family, and for a family that knows how to truly celebrate a life.
My sister in law’s mother was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of non hodgkins lymphoma on Friday. There are two other known cases in the city of Chicago. I am greatful it was caught early, and for amazing doctors who have experience in it’s treatment. Despite it’s rarity, there is a good prognosis with aggressive treatment.
Despite my annoyance at living with my parents temporarily, I am greatful that not only are they in a position to open their home to us, they wanted to.
I am thankful for my job, as much as I hate it most of the time. My small work family is what makes my job bearable.
My internet bff aamber. I was able to see her twice this trip. She let us stay the night on Tuesday even though she worked Wednesday morning. She is am amazing woman.
Tumblr. For keeping me sane, giving me a place to air out the crazy, and for introducing me to so many wonderful people.
My pup. Maddie is my baby, and I have missed her so much these past three days. She can always bring a smile to my face.
My husband for being kind, caring, funny, and strong in the times that I feel as though I’m not.
Happy thanksgiving, everyone!
